Birth Injury Justice Center
The Birth Injury Justice Center is dedicated to supporting anyone who has been affected by birth injuries, brain injuries, cerebral palsy, Erb’s palsy, or other developmental disabilities. We strive to provide answers and guidance to ensure that families receive the assistance they need to help improve their overall quality of life.
There are more special education opportunities than ever for children who have been diagnosed with a birth injury. Many schools, resources, and organizations are tailored towards children with disabilities. Scholarships, health impairment plans, individualized education plans, and homeschooling are all options for parents looking into special education resources. To learn about resources and opportunities that could help you, your child, or a loved one, explore https://www.childbirthinjuries.com/resources/special-education/.
Black Neuroscience Society
The Black Neuroscience Society aims to implement journal clubs, mentorship programs, panels, outreach initiatives and social gatherings to connect Black undergraduates and Black neuroscience professionals, with hopes of becoming affiliated with BlackInNeuro.
As members of the Columbia Neuroscience Society, we want to use our resources and passion for neuroscience to engender a culture that reflects our experience and interest as Black students.
We ultimately hope to cultivate an inviting and relaxing environment where we can all share our love of neuroscience while leaving competitiveness and stress at the door!
